Job Description:

Teachers are a vital part of Hogwarts. Apart from teaching their unique and engaging subjects, they are a support for students. Teachers encourage students to excel, they challenge them to think, to use creativity and imagination, and offer help to those struggling. Teachers post regular lessons (maximum once every two weeks) and attend regular Staff Meetings, an integral part of the job, as it allows communication between them and the Headmistress. Teachers reply promptly to student questions and make sure all points earned are awarded! Any problems they encounter are swiftly referred to the Headmistress. Substitute teachers take over for any teacher who cannot teach for short periods of time. Prolonged absence may result in revoking their position.

We take pride in the high level of excellence from all teachers and, therefore, are very selective on who is accepted. Please do not take offence if you are not chosen for a position. Most times, we will offer for you to re-submit your application. Remember, the more detail you can give, the better! The internet is a remarkable resource for lessons. We recommend you use it to its full advantage when planning lessons.

Preference WILL be given to adults with a long term commitment to the site. If you only want to teach for a month or two, then please do not apply. We wish to give our students the highest level of education and, therefore, the less teacher changeover, the better.

Criteria:
Minimum 100 points (for 1st years only)
Member for at least 3 months, with proven activity
Able to devote time to site!
Able to attend regular Staff Meetings
Able to post regular lessons and mark homework
Knowledge of subject applying for!
Organised
Punctual
Active!!!

Am I able to apply while keeping my student character, or do I have to scrap that student?

You can certainly apply, you would just need to create an adult character to fill the position if you are accepted :)

How do you create another character? Can you use the same email?

Making another character is really easy. You just go through the same registration process you went through the first time, but make a new character with another email account. If you don't have a second email, you can make a gmail account in about 30 seconds.

No, no need to scrap your student character. You're allowed to have several characters simultaneously, so long as you can handle them and keep up :)
