Diagon Alley was as busy as usual, perhaps more so with it being the middle of the summer and all. Witches and wizards walked the cobbled street, some strolling around, window-shopping while others hurried up and down the street in determination, swinging their bags of newly purchased goods in their hands as they zigzagged their way through the sea of people, with a set destination in mind or just eager to get out of there. The wizarding robes aside, this could be any busy street in London, though the lack of shorts-wearing, camera-carrying tourists with bum bags was obvious and Georgiana was glad for it for she had spent her entire morning trying to avoid them as she'd made her way between shops and boutiques. Those sort of tourists always clogged up the muggle parts of the city in the summer, treating everything as tourist attractions - pointing, snapping pictures and getting lost despite their oversized maps which they waved about like matadors do their capes - blocking the pavements and disturbing the order of things. Georgiana was by no means fond of muggles in general - tourists or not, they were rather annoying creatures - but it must be said, the supply of clothing stores, restaurants and cafés in Diagon Alley was limited and the muggle parts of London had much more to offer indeed.
At the moment, Georgiana was seated on a bench outside Gringotts bank, resting after a morning full of shopping in the muggle areas. She fanned herself with the list with books she needed to buy for the upcoming school year, the cool air it produced was welcoming and refreshing. It was a warm, sunny day. Not too hot to make a visit outside overly unpleasant certainly, but definitely warm enough, and she was glad she had chosen a short, chiffon summer dress. Like everything she wore, it was a fine dress. Elegant and expensive without looking gaudy or extravagant, evidentially something she had inherited from her mother who was known and greatly praised for her impeccable taste in fashion. It had short, slightly puffed sleeves, a thin belt around the hip, giving it a bit of a 20s silhouette, and ivory polka dots in a pattern across the navy blue fabric matching her white flats and white corsage headband. The shape of the dress was modest, not too tightly fitted to show off any curves she hadn't developed quite yet nor too loose to make it look baggy. It was, as Georgiana cared to put it: Perfect.
Naturally, she wasn't out and about shopping alone. Her parents had few but very strict rules and one of those rules was that Georgiana was not allowed outside without proper supervision by an adult. It was a fair rule, she thought, and not only because it gave her someone to carry the shopping bags for her. She was too young and it just wasn't safe nor appropriate for her to be out on her own, and Merlin knows what sort of people walked these streets. So her escort for the day was a man in a black suit standing some feet away, allowing her space without being too far off. He was a rather dull but certainly efficient man with enough patience to endure all clothing stores she had visited without a single grunt. But then again, that's what he was paid to do, wasn't it.

A slight breeze picked up as Charlotte made her way to the entrance of Diagon Alley, she had to pick up some of her new equipment for the new term that was coming up. So she found herself taking a trip to Diagon Alley to do a bit of shopping. Her brown hair ruffled in the breeze as she made her way into Diagon Alley, the soft tap tap of her shoes on the paved streets. Her brown eyes roamed around the packed streets as she took in the sights of all the wizards and witches doing their shopping and getting along with the lives really. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she looked at the guard her mum had given her and her sister to watch out for them, she didn't think she needed a gaurd but apparently she wasn't old enough to be roaming around the streets unattended to. Looking at the guard out of the corner of her eye she wondered where her mum got them from, he was wearing a dark green robe with dark shades covering his eyes. Seriously was he acting out for a part in a muggle movie? Giggling silently to herself she continued to walk along the streets.
Her eyes kept slipping from one building to the other as her blue and gold dress swayed slightly in the brezze, the sway mimicked by her hair so they was in perfect synchronization. A small smile danced across her lips as the thought struck her, making her guard raise his eyebrows in question. Shesh wasn't she aloud to smile then? He seriously needed to loosen up a little. Walking over to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour she stepped inside and looked around, her gaurd waiting outside while she walked over to the counter. "Hello. One Very Berry ice cream please." She smiled to the man behind the counter as he gave her a scoop on strawberry ice cream, putting it on a cone and handing it over to her. "Two galleons please little miss." She smiled and handed over the two galleons and walked out the shop, licking her ice cream as she walked out. She nodded to her guard and they continued walking around. Her eyes was roaming around for the best place to go to first, she didn't need to go to Gringotts because her mopther had given her a pouch full of coins before she came out. She didn't think she was going to be seeing her mother any time soon but she had come and collected her and her sister from Hogwarts and taken them home. Great. She sighed and frowned, why did she recognise that girl sitting outside Gringotts? It looked like Gorgiana, one of her...well she considered her a friend. She was pretty sure Gorgiana didn't like her.
Walking over to Gorgiana, she smiled slightly, nodding to the man that stood a bit away from her but also close to her. When she stopped in front of Gorgiana, her gaurd nodded to her and Gorgiana making Charlotte roll her eyes in her mind. So formal. Looking at her friend a smile fell upon her lips. "Hello Gorgiana. I didn't expect to meet anyone here." She raised a hand to brush a strand of loose hair behind her ear, tucking it saftly out the way. Looking at the bags she stated the obvious. "Shopping as well eh? Well of course you would be. Meet my gaurd...er..." She blinked and looked at her gaurd who didn't make any movement to tell her that he knew they was talking about him. "I don't know his name." She finished lamely, lifting her shoulders up in a slight shrug. "How have you been?" She asked before her eyes wandered around the building of Gringotts, the building always fasinating her. The white marble structure and the simplicity yet complex ways of it. The goblins, however, scared her a little and she averted her gaze quickly and looked back to Gorgiana.

Georgiana hadn't been paying attention to the passers-by for the past few minutes - watching people was pretty tiresome and quite honestly, most were not worth paying attention to anyhow - so she hadn't taken any notice that one of her school friends was approaching. It came as a surprise therefore to hear her name being spoken and she looked up, returning from the place her mind had drifted off to and a courteous smiled formed on her lips upon seeing a fellow Slytherin.
"Oh, hello Charlotte." Georgiana said politely, rising from her seat to lightly kiss the girl on the cheeks, the way she usually greeted her acquaintances. "Delightful seeing you here." Even if Charlotte wasn't one of her favourite Hogwarts friends, she still supposed the girl tolerable and at the moment she did welcome a bit of company.
"Yes, I've done some shopping." She said and glanced at all the shopping bags, "Can't get too much of that, I should think, even though it is quite exhausting." She snorted amusedly as she said the last bit. While still being the same proper self, Georgiana's slightly more casual sides definitely became apparent now that she was out of school. However, one shouldn't expect wonders.
When Charlotte introduced her to the guard she was accompanied by, Georgiana merely gave him a slight yet polite nod. It wasn't customary to greet these sort servants so she really wasn't going to offer him her hand or even give a simple "Hello". A nod was more than sufficient.
"I'm very well, thank you." She said instead in response to Charlotte's question. "I've just gotten home after two weeks in France, visiting mes grands-parents and oncle. How have you been? And how is Willow?" She asked in politeness, as it were to inquire about one's family, or known family anyhow for she was not acquainted with Charlotte's parents. "Well I hope."
Georgiana seated herself on the bench again and motioned for Charlotte to join her, "Do sit." She offered, thought in a rather insisting sort of way, "And tell me of your summer so far. What have you been up to?"

Charlotte watched as Georgiana focused on her, she looked like she had been doing somethign esle and had just come back to this world. She smiled as Georgiana got up and kissed her cheeks. Charlotte was used to this from her time in Paris when the people there would kiss both her cheeks in welcome. "It's lovely to see you as well." She replied smiling brightly as she nodded at her words about doing some shopping, looking at the bags and grinning. "Yeah, I do sometimes go a bit overboard when it comes to shopping. That is why I have someone to walk around with me. He is very useful when I buy a lot of things because he can carry my bags." She commented, her voice warm and welcoming.
Charlotte watched as Georgiana nodded to the gaurd that was just standing there, didn't he move at all? It kinda freaked her out how he just stood completely still not moving an inch. She shivered slightly at the thought of him being a vampire, she knew they exsisted but her mother would never make a vampire look after her daughters. "Oh how lovely, I do love France. Which part of France did you visit? How was your grand-parents and uncle?" She asked polietly, she did favour France and for some reason whenever she went there people would recgnise her and say how much she had grown. Maybe her parents took her there when she was younger? She couldn't remember much about her past so she wasn't sure. "I have been well thank you, my mother came to Hogwarts and took me and Willow out and home with her. It was quite unexpected actually. Though I did enjoy the trip home and I did miss my house" She didn't think she would have missed her home but the muggle saying was true, hom was where the heart is. She thought Hogwarts was home but she realised that her home was wherever she felt loved. "Willow is well as well. I was meant to meet up with her here. She went a little earlier then I did and she has her own gaurd. I haven't found her yet." She tutted slightly at how her sister would walk off and not bother telling her where she was. "How are your family?" She asked.
Charlotte watched as her friend sat on the bech and motioned for her to sit with her, the offer sounding a little demanding and insistent to her but she didn't like to be rudde and sat down next to Georgiana. "Oh well for the first few days me and Willow stayed at Hogwarts with the few people who was there. Our mother came and took us out though and drove us back home to London. It was quite nice and we didn't get to unpack before our mother told us we was off to spain for a week. We was very excited and couldn't wait to get there. Spain is a lovely place, have you been there? Well we met our cousin and aunts there who we hadn't seen before and they showed us around. It was quite extordenary. The whole week was bliss and I found a really sweet guy there called Carlós. He took me on beach walks and it was lovely." She smiled as she remembered the last day when she had to leave, Carlós gave her a pendant with a C on it which hung around her neck. "We came home and stayed there for the next week and I am not sure what we shall be doing." She smiled warmly. "How about you? What have you been up to? Where are you going after shopping?" She asked poiletly.

Willow had gone to Diagon Ally about an hour before Charlotte did as she wasn't ready when willow was. Her mother had insisted that they should each take a body guard with them, it was annoying for Willow to have someone that followed her around being all stiff and not talking to anyone even if he pushed past someone by accident.
She had already been into a new sports shop a few streets away from Diagon Ally in the Muggle world. Willow had to go in side to get a new target board and new arrows, as hers had eaither been broken or where beyond their 'shelf' life, as she called it.
Willow was wearing a dark purple sundress that was slightly taken in at the stomach. As she didn't have much of a figure yet the dress was fairly straight on her. It also had a twirly design on the frount, with small sparkling crystals here and there.
As soon as Willow had opened the passage to Diagon Ally she was slightly shocked that there were loads of people here. Her and Charlotte would usually come just a day or two before school and it would be a little less buisy then this.
Willow walked up Diagon Ally looking for her sister everywhere. As she got closer to Gringotts willow regognised two figures sitting in frount of it. She walked slightly faster as she was happy to see her friend and sister.
Willow approached them with a warm smile "Hey there you are. I spent ages looking for you" She said to Charlotte in a playfull manner "How are you both?" adressing both of them friendly.

"Well, we can't be expected to carry our own bags, now can we." Georgiana pointed out and smiled. "So I suppose they are quite convenient. I wanted my brother to come with me, he does quite often, but he's in Sweden to watch the annual broom race at the moment. Awfully dull. Have you ever been there to see it?" She supposed, considering Charlotte's interesting in Quidditch, that she might have. Though she really couldn't understand why one would want to watch it.
"Rocherneau." She then replied to Charlotte's question on where in France she had gone, "It's a fairly small wizarding commune in Champagne, so it's very delightful indeed. Quite rural though, so I tend to keep within the grounds of our château mostly." She gave Charlotte a meaningful look, sure Charlotte would understand why she wouldn't want to mix with peasant people.
"I went to Paris as well, for shopping. And Versailles but not for the Palace, I could not bear the crowd!" She snorted and rolled her eyes, thinking of the ridiculously long lines of people waiting to get in. True, it was indeed worth a visit - Nothing quite like old palaces with so much history. And the Galerie des Glaces is quite marvellous. But one really should arrange a visit when it isn't open for the public.
"There's a lovely café my grand-père and I like to visit there, you see. It's sort of our tradition." She explained, hoping it didn't sound very childish of her to have such a thing. But she did love it. "They make the best macarons in the world." She added. "Have you been to France a lot?" she asked with interest, as it would seem they shared a fondness for the country.
"Surely, you weren't supposed to stay in school for the summer?" she asked in surprise after Charlotte told her about staying in school, "You couldn't stay there for the whole of summer, for sure. Your parents would miss you terribly if you were." Georgiana couldn't being to understand why one would choose to remain at Hogwarts over the summer. Seven months straight had been quite enough for her as it were and she couldn't wait to get home when July finally came. She just loved home very much.
"That sounds wonderful!" she said after listening with interest to Charlotte telling her about Spain. "Where did you go?" she asked, "I've been to Barcelona and Figueres but that's about it. And as for my summer so far -" She didn't finish as a girl joined them.
"Ah, Hello Willow." she said with a smile and got to her feet to kiss her cheeks. "Very good to see you. I'm very well, thank you. Charlotte has just been telling me about Spain. Did you enjoy it as much as she did?"

Charlotte listening to Georgiana with all of her attention, nodded at the bit about them being quite useful. She did shop a lot and they was strong so she agreed with that. "Oh I don't go to them. Mother thinks it isn't very good for a lady to be going to watch broom races. I do hope your brother enjoys himself though." She added and felt a little pang of jealously at her brother, she wished she could go and watch the annual broom race. She was an awfully big fan of Quidditch.
"Ohhh I have heard it is lovely there. I have only been there twice myself and had to have a gaurd with me at all times." She saw the meaningful look and nodded, it wasn't right to mix with peasant people. Her mother had taught her this much at least. She smiled at the news about Paris and Versailles, she was quite fond of the Palace and thought it was amazing. She smiled when she heard about the tradition she had. It was very sweet. "Oh I have been to France a few times my my Ma. We have an aunt who lives over there who we visit a lot." She smiled at the memory. "I love it there." She knew that the time she had spent in France was one of the best times in her life and she wouldn't change it for the world.
Charlotte smiled and listened to where her friend had gone in Spain. They both sounded wonderful. "Me and my family went to Tenerife. It was a lot of fun the beach was amazing though we didn't go to close to the beach. It was croweded." She offered as an expalanation. "It was wonderful there." She listened to her explanation about what she did over the summer but she didn't get far and she wondered why, watched her friend get up and go over to her sister a smile fell on her lips. "Hello Willow." She smild brightly. "I am well and as Georfiana just said, I have been telling her about our trip to Spain with mother." She smiled brightly.

Georgiana surveyed Charlotte as she spoke. "He will, no doubt." She said, "He and father go every year. I have been there to seen it several times, as well." She certainly wasn't offended by Charlotte's comment on her mother thinking it unladylike. More surprised really. "But it's so awfully dull that I only attend the event whenever I absolutely have to."
"Have you gotten all your books for school yet?" she asked and looked between the sisters before casting a glance on the list in her hand where she had scribbled down the titles of all the books she needed to buy. There were quite a lot of them. "And I wouldn't mind a visit to the apothecary shop."

Willow smiled as she approached them both and kissed Georgiana's cheeks in politeness. She went over to her sister and hugged her tightly and let go after a few seconds.
"Ah yes our trip. It was excellent, I loved being there. It was great. Did i already say that?" Willow laughed
"I got some of my books this morning, but i still need to get a few things. I really need to update my potion kit" Willow said thoughtfully.
It was a really warm day in Diagon Ally and it was incredibly busy so it seamed alot warmer here than it did on the streets of the muggle world. But It was a fantastic day for shopping. The sun was streaming into the shop windows making the dust show up. Whenever a customer passed a dusty bookshelf or walked over the floor, the dust particles would be stirred up and the sunlight would hit them, making them look like little jewels.

Charlotte nodded as she listened to Georgiana's every word, a slight smile tugging at her lips as she heard about her not going to it unless she had to. "I see, how many times have you been then?" She asked. "What happens there? I haven't been to one of them." She shook her head when she asked about getting all her books and stuff. "I got a few but I still have to get a few more. Yeah I need to go to the apothecary as well." She thought about what she needed and made a list in her head. She hugged her sister back tightly when she came to her and laughed as she told Georgiana about her loving the trip. "Yes you did sister." A small childish laugh escaped her lips.

"Well, it's a race isn't it." Georgiana replied to Charlotte's inquiry, not really inclined to elaborate her answer. "I've been there three, or possibly four times. Can't remember." She smiled, hoping or more likely insisting that would suffice and be the end of the conversation.
In an attempt to steer the topic away from broom racing - something she found little interest in discussing but ironically enough was guilty of starting - she saw her opportunity when both Charlotte and Willow mentioned a need to update their potion kits. "Let's go to the apothecary then, shall we?" It was a suggestion but rather than wait for the sisters to agree or allow them to suggest something else, Georgiana tucked her shopping list into her clutch bag and set off, leading the way.
It didn't cross her mind that they mightn't want to accompany her, she simply took it for granted that they would. One of her many arrogant traits, and flaws.

Willow laughed musically with her sister and a smile lingered on her rose coloured lips. She listened to her sisters and Georgiana's discussion with a little interest. She loved Quidditch but not as much as Charlotte did. Archery was more her thing and she loved doing it.
Willow was just about to answer Georgiana's question, when she walked off with her body guard walking stiffly behind her and following her into the apothecary shop.
"Should we go then? What do you need to get for a third year kit. I forgot to bring my list" Willow said to her sister while trying to remember where she had left it. On the kitchen table? She hoped so. If she left it in the sports shop...

Charlotte nodded her head to Georgiana's explanation, she kinda gavered it was a race but she wasn't sure what the point of it was. Was it to celebrate something? Oh well she didn't really care that much. "Oh I do feel sorry for you, I know you don't really like brooms." She smiled an apologectic smile. She opened her mouth to answer Georgiana but she had already walked off with her body gaurd. Charlotte blinked a few times and lifted her shoulders up in a shrug, maybe she already knew their answer. She could be physic, this triggered Charlotte to giggle as she turned to her sister. "I have the list, dear sister, he has it." She nodded to her own body gaurd who just nodded his head once. She rolled her eyes, didn't they talk at all? Shesh. She nodded to Willow and began walking with Georgiana. "So what are you doing for the rest of the holiday?" She asked, her eyes roaming around the shops, no matter how many times she came here she always found something new about it. Secret alleyways, a crack on the wall where someone had hidden something. It was like a treasure chest.

Reaching the apothecary, Georgiana pushed the door open, the gloomy inside of the shop a contrast to the sunny outside. It took a moment for her eyes to adjust to the sudden lack of good lightning. It was a small but well stocked shop. She had been here quite a few times before and knew the selection of ingredients to be good.
"Good day." She said to the old wizard behind the counter before answering Charlottes question. "Visiting my grand parents in Scotland, I'd expect." She said and picked up a vial containing a purple liquid. "And a few charity dinners and balls, the usual." She put the vial back and smiled.
Georgiana continued to scan the stocked shelves, finding a selection of bottles containing odd coloured liquids particularly interesting.
"Did you find anything unusual in Tenerife as far as potions ingredients?" She asked. Having never been to any of the Canary Islands, Georgiana was curious to know what they had to offer. "I always make an habit of visiting apothecaries when I travel." She explained, "Sometimes you find those rare ingredients native to that particular area which can be difficult to acquire here in England. Aren't there good quality cochineal eggs on the Canary Islands?" She remembered reading something about cochineals in some book at home, but she wasn't sure.

Lillianna Duvall made her way into the apothecary.
It wasn't enough that strange things had happened around her since she could remember. Those things only made sure that she grew up alone. Even her mother seemed afraid of her. Just a few days ago, she was told what those strange acts were. She was apparently a witch and had been accepted to Hogwarts.
How she'd been accepted to a school in a whole new country, she had no idea. Didn't they have these witchy school in the States?
Her mother had absolutely no problem putting her on a plane, alone, to London. The woman had seemed positively joyful, if truth be told. From the airport, she'd followed the directions to the Leaky Cauldron as the letter specified. She managed to get a room until school started and put her bags away. After a good night's sleep, she braved the Alley to collect her school supplies.
She'd gotten everything else, so all she had left to get were potions supplies. She wrinkled her nose as she entered the shop. She closed her eyes to acclimate herself to the darkness of the shop after being out in the blinding sun.
Unfortunately, she didn't stop moving when she closed her eyes and bumped into someone. Squinting her eyes open, she corrected herself. Three someones. She sighed. These girls were obviously older than her, and probably knew what they were doing when it came to all this magic junk.
She thought about standing there and letting them scold her, but wondered why, even for a second, she'd consider putting on an act. She'd be herself.
She sneered as she brushed past them farther into the shop.
Part of her hoped they'd call her back. At least she'd get to use her voice if there was a verbal spar. The rest of her just hoped they'd see that she wasn't afraid of them and let her go. She really wasn't sure what would be best.
