Let's get the hardest one out of the way first. WW (for short, acronyms are love) has the most code and in a large chunk if you're first adding yourself to the list. This is for applications that have been marked as 'Accepted'. Any other posts will be deleted. Here's what the code looks like.
We're going to do those sections individually. First up is that giant section for (as labeled) New and Returning Members. Each area is underlined in red as it's being discussed for helpful visuals.
That's 'OOC Alias' or what your name is. (It should match your cbox name to avoid confusion.) Erase it, replace with name. No quotes needed. Just letters, preferably with proper capitalization.
All right, so here's where it gets tricky and the majority of complications happen. Are you playing a male or female character? (If they are non-binary, that's a whole other waffle not covered here but just take out the code for both and replace for the non-binary code given.)
If you are playing a MALE character, your code is this one:
[*code]<a href="PUT A LINK TO YOUR APPLICATION HERE"><span class="boy">CHARACTER NAME MALE</span></a> <br>[*/code]
If you are playing a FEMALE character, your code is this one:
[*code]<a href="PUT A LINK TO YOUR APPLICATION HERE"><span class="girl">CHARACTER NAME FEMALE</span></a> <br>[*/code]
Non-binary? Here ya go:
[*code]<a href='PUT A LINK TO YOUR APPLICATION HERE'><span class="wix">CHARACTER NAME HERE</span></a> <br>[*/code]
Now, if you're paying attention, codes for BOTH male and female are included in the New Member code. Delete the part(s) you don't need. (But delete nothing else. That's to make it appear as it should within the main code. It's important.)
This guide will use the male code as its example for simplicity. Just translate as needed as the rest is the same.
That's where the URL goes for your application. It needs to be enclosed in double quotes. It also needs to end with the name not the # symbol and a string of numbers as that's a post number and the link needs to represent the application as a whole.
That's where the character's name goes. Use the full first and last name, no nicknames.
For an example of how it all works, check out this code which is complete, proper, and lovely.
<div class="wwextra"><b>PRONOUN:</b> she/her<div class="left"><b>SKYPE:</b> ask me</div></div></div>
<div class="wwlist"><a href='http://www.nextincantation.com/index.php?/topic/15-maitland-lycanth/'><span class="girl">Lycanth Maitland</span></a><br></div>[/code*]
The OOC name is Shadow. The application link is the full thread link with enclosing " ". The character name is properly placed and spelled. The excess code is removed.
If you are simply adding a character to your existing WW spot, the steps are the same for the character link parts.
